5 possible mystery additions to Chelsea’s squad after Conte hints at imminent new signing.

In Antonio Conte’s revealing interview with the Mail yesterday there was no quote more exciting than Conte discussing the new signings arriving in Singapore.

“In Singapore, Rudiger and Morata will arrive, maybe someone else”

This really indicated he hoped to sign someone, and soon. Here are some of the players the boss could have been referring to.

5. Pedro

The attacker was sent flying by David Ospina’s dangerous challenge in the Arsenal friendly and suffered a concussion. The most disappointing option for fans was that the Spaniard would be the “someone” who joined up with the Blues in Singapore. It has now been decided that he will return to England however, so at least we can rule one disappointment out.

4. Tiemoue Bakayoko

An almost equally disappointing result would be Bakayoko coming to join the team to support them, given that he still can’t play thanks to a knee injury. While it will be fun to see the Frenchman hanging with his new teammates, it would be a letdown for fans expecting a new player.

3. Richarlison

The Fluminense youngster has been hotly tipped to be a Conte target in the last 24 hours, and is one of the few players whose transfer might be simple enough to complete in time for him to join up with the team in Singapore.

2. Alex Sandro

The Juventus wing back is Chelsea’s premier target now Morata is secured. Sadly our pursuit seems to have tailed off in recent weeks, but until Juve actually tie him down to a new contract there’s no reason we couldn’t still persuade him to join.

1. Neymar

Hey, nobody said we were being realistic. If PSG can pay £200m+ for the Brazilian, why can’t we? He might struggle to make it to Singapore in time however, given Barcelona are in New Jersey…
