Roman Abramovich opens door for Chelsea’s loan star’s permanent switch

Chelsea are willing to part with long term loanee Tomas Kalas this summer, and Hull are at the front of the queue to sign the Czech defender.

Goal are the source of the rumour, although it just makes sense for all parties involved, given the new Hull boss Leonid Slutsky’s long standing connection to Roman Abramovich.

Kalas is 24 now and despite promising spells at Middlesbrough and at Fulham this year has never really looked like he was ready to take the step up to the first team at Stamford Bridge. After many loans he is now apparently frustrated and wants to secure a permanent deal.

He wouldn’t cost much, given he’s only got one year left on his deal at Chelsea, and he would be the perfect signing for Slutsky to bring in to immediately strengthen his very weak squad.
