Chelsea have been linked with one of the surprise transfers of the summer as a quiet window starts to go wacky.
Despite the fact that the Stamford Bridge club already have a speedy Traore on their books, they are apparently keen to add another, and have been linked with a move for Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.
While Bertrand Traore kicks his heels waiting to find out whether he will be loaned or sold this summer, Adama is apparently going to be brought to the home of the Champions after being relegated in two consecutive seasons.
It’s not the first tine the former Barcelona man has been linked with Chelsea, but it’s persistence as a rumour does not help it make any sense. Unless he is intended as a backup to Victor Moses, it’s hard to see what he would add to the side that Antonio Conte is developing.
