Various Chelsea accounts have been citing these favourites from Asmir Begovic as evidence that the recently departed keeper is unhappy about being replaced as Chelsea’s backup by Willy Caballero, who is on the verge of signing on a free from Man City.
The logic seems to be that the former Portsmouth man feels offended about being replaced, which does not fit with the actual course of events since January.

The problem is of course that we were desperate to keep Begovic, and did in fact block his exit in January when Bournemouth were first keen on him. This is not a situation which has seen the Bosnian booted out – quite the opposite in fact. So to read into this that he’s bitter about leaving makes no sense. It was most likely an accident.
