Zinedine Zidane breaks silence over Thibaut Courtois’ Real Madrid links

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has opened up about the club’s goalkeeper situation following speculation of Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois being a major target for the Spanish side this summer.

The former France international suggests that he’s happy with his current goalkeeping ranks, which is a big relief for the Blues who certainly want the Belgian shot-stopper to stay as part of Chelsea’s return to the Champions League next season.

Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of Thibaut Courtois.

However, Zidane doesn’t rule out making transfers in or out in the summer, and would obviously need to sign a new keeper should one of their three current goalies leave.

“We’ve got three very good goalkeepers and we’re happy with all three.

I don’t know what will happen next year.

They get along very well. Ruben has played less, but he has been spectacular.”

Real Madrid have also been monitoring Manchester United’s David De Gea, so should the La Liga leaders start search for a new goalkeeper, he could be at the top of the shortlist right alongside Courtois.

Zidane has also been circling around Eden Hazard throughout the season, but it’s expected that Antonio Conte will offer both Hazard and Courtois a new deal at Stamford Bridge to ward off interest from the Galanticos.
