Diego Costa names which club he’d only leave Chelsea for

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has claimed to be only rejoining Atletico Madrid should he leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Spanish international might have been linked with a big-money move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian at the end of the season, but the player himself has denied any interest from his side of moving to the Far East at this stage of his career.

Atletico however are also very keen on the player as the team’s manager Diego Simeone has confirmed to be staying at the club for at least one more season, and would love to have his former player Costa joining him in Los Colchoneros.

But Costa has now proven that he’d still love to stay at Chelsea next term and be part of Antonio Conte’s team in the upcoming Champions League return.

“I will only leave Chelsea for Atlético. If not, I will stay here. I’m not interested in other clubs.

“I have no intention of leaving Chelsea. I’m good over here. But if the club want to sell me, there’s only one club that I want to join.”

Diego Costa netted 22 times this season, as he was the team’s top goalscorer while earning Chelsea more points than any other player with his goals in the Blues’ successful title race.
