Chelsea plotting bid for young Roma goalkeeper

Chelsea are planning to make an offer for young goalkeeper starlet Reinis Reinholds as he’s set to take part in a trial at Cobham this week, hoping to get the Blues coaches interested in him, Football.London reports.

The 19-year-old is already a well-known goalkeeper in Italy, as he has impressive broke into the Roma Racing first-team this term.

However, the Latvian is not looking to spend his entire career at Lega Pro level and is now a major target for Chelsea, who have offered him a trial following his impressive displays the Italian capital.

The 2016/17 Premier League champions’ goalkeeper coach Gianluca Spinelli knows Reinholds well according to the player’s agent Camillo Autieri, who talked about the Chelsea links in February.

“Chelsea is great club and English football is wonderful.

I know the goalkeeper trainer in Chelsea, Gianluca Spinelli, and he is a big professional.

Gianluca knows Reinis and for sure he could give a positive impression about him.”
