Antonio Conte: ‘We’ll try to get Terry on to lift FA Cup trophy for Chelsea’

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has talked to the press ahead of the Blues’ big FA Cup final against Arsenal tomorrow evening at the FA Cup final.

The Italian was asked whether John Terry will be playing in the final, and possibly lift the trophy at the end of the game.

“Today it is very difficult to answer the question. For sure John will be with us and for sure on the bench, then we will see in the moment of the game of what we require.

Our aim is to win another trophy and see him lift it. I have this dream and the players have this dream.”

It’s uncertain whether the Blues boss will get a chance to give Terry an outing in the final, as it could go right down to the wire against the Gunners, who are determined to clinch the one and only trophy they can this term following their poor league campaign of finishing outside top four.

Should Terry not play in tomorrow’s FA Cup clash, it’s fair to say his 22-year-long Chelsea career got a fantastic end with the former England skipper lifting the Blues’ fifth Premier League trophy last Sunday in our 5-1 win over Sunderland.
