Antonio Conte reveals Chelsea’s squad overhaul plans for this summer

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hinted at a big revamp in the Blues squad this summer, as the Italian is hopeful to improve both the ‘number and quality’ of the team.

The Italian led the West London side to an emphatic Premier League triumph this term following the Blues’ poor campaign last season finishing 10th in the top-flight.

However, Chelsea weren’t able to clinch the double in their FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday evening and the Italian wasn’t happy with the result after the game.

“Now the most important thing is to give a correct evaluation for our season because, for me, it was incredible.

Every player performed 120 per cent. We didn’t have injuries.

Next season we must pay great attention to understand that we have to improve the numbers and quality of the squad.

We must be cold to analyse the situation.”

Chelsea have been linked with many big names ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window and the board have been rumoured to give Conte funds of around £200m to improve his team for Chelsea’s return to the Champions League next season.
