Romelu Lukaku wants Chelsea return, Diego Costa still keen on China move

According to The Sun, Chelsea have received a huge boost in their chase for Belgium international Romelu Lukaku as he has reportedly told his friends he wishes to return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 23-year-old striker has turned down a contract extension at the Toffees and is very likely to leave Goodison Park before next season, but the club are trying to ward off the likes of Chelsea as they’ve set a staggering £100m price tag on him.

Romelu Lukaku will be kissing his goodbyes for Everton this summer.

Lukaku is a strong favourite for this Premier League season’s Golden Boot award, as he’s currently the leading goalscorer in the campaign with 25 goals to his name.

With Diego Costa reportedly still keeping tabs on a move to China, Chelsea will certainly need to sign a new striker this summer and Lukaku, alongside Alvaro Morata, is on top of the transfer target list for the Blues.

Diego Costa could be away to China this summer.

Daily Mail claims Costa is set to accept the £32m-a-year (£620,000-a-week) offer from Tianjin Quanjian once the season comes to a close, as the previous bid for the Spanish front-man was rebuffed by Chelsea in January, leaving the 29-year-old furious with the rejection.

Yesterday’s rumours also suggested that Chelsea have struck a deal with Real Madrid over the transfer of Alvaro Morata, but it’s yet to be fully confirmed.
