Rafa Benitez wants Chelsea striker following Premier League promotion

It seems that former Blues boss Rafa Benitez is already looking to come back raiding his ex-side following their 4-1 victory over Preston North End last night that secured the Toon Army their return to the Premier League.

The current Championship side are reportedly eyeing a move for Blues striker Tammy Abraham, who has bagged 26 goals to his name during his loan spell at Bristol City this term, the Chronicle reports.

Tammy Abraham has already netted 26 times for Bristol City this season.

Abraham would have competition from current Newcastle forwards Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle at the St. James Stadium next term but would certainly be a big help for the side should he join them.

Abraham has only made two Chelsea appearances so far but his season with Bristol City and rise to the England U21 first-team is really opening more doors for his career at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte is reluctant of letting the 19-year-old striker leave on a permanent deal at this stage and won’t be loaning him out to a club where he has no promise of a key role in the side.

The West London side have also planned to use Abraham in an exchange for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.
