John Terry picks his surprising but unbeatable five-a-side team

Chelsea veteran defender John Terry has been asked to pick his ultimate five-a-side team on an interview for GQ Magazine, but even as unbeatable it seems to be, one might notice how the Blues legend has decided to leave out all current Chelsea players, only choosing one former Blue, and not even himself.

To start off with, the 36-year-old has chosen his good friend and a former team-mate Petr Cech in goal – the only player in Terry’s five-a-side team that he’s ever played with.

“Cheers John!”

Above him in the one-man defensive line Terry hasn’t gone on to include himself, but rather chosen the one and only Paolo Maldini, describing the AC Milan legend as his utmost idol during the beginning of his playing career.

“He’s someone I loved at AC Milan and looked up to as a player. I think he had so much about him.

He had so much quality and he was a player I looked to growing up.”

Into the middle of the field Terry has named Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes, and the recent Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, who also made a name for himself at Old Trafford.

Up-field, leading the attacking line, Terry has picked the legendary Brazilian hero Ronaldinho, who surely would be an ultimate addition to any five-a-side team ever.

Terry’s team is certainly unbeatable, but a few former Blues stars such as Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard might’ve wished to have seen their names up there!
