Antonio Conte: ‘We must find a plan for Lukaku’

Chelsea will be travelling to the Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon facing Everton on their 34th game of the Premier League season.

Everton have been superb at home this year and won’t be going down easily, as they also have a place in Europe to play for with their six remaining fixtures.

In a pre-match interview Antonio Conte has highlighted the necessity of finding a plan to stop the Toffees’ star striker Romelu Lukaku and the rest of their players in Sunday’s tie.

“I think he [Romelu Lukaku] is a really good player and is scoring a lot of goals in this season, not only this season, we must pay great attention.

But it is the same, to find the right solution to stop them. We must find the right solution to stop Lukaku and all the other players.”

Lukaku has also been strongly linked with a return to Stamford Bridge this summer, with the Belgium international reportedly eager to force a move away from Merseyside at the end of the campaign.

It’s been hinted that he’d be replacing Diego Costa at Chelsea, who again is surrounded by speculation of a big-money move to China.

However, when asked who’d Conte prefer to have upfront in his team, the Italian tactician was very respectful backing his own players to always finish above the rest.

“In my team? For me my players are the best in the world and I don’t change with anyone else.”
