Chelsea plotting huge contract offer for Real Madrid star

Chelsea have set their sights on yet another Real Madrid star, this time it being a long-term Tottenham target called Isco, as his future at Santiago Bernabeu is currently unclear.

The Spain international hasn’t really been able to make a name for himself under Zinedine Zidane, as he has only made 23 outings in the league for the La Liga leaders this campaign.

His abilities are still well known and Chelsea would be very keen on the attacking midfielder’s services. The club are yet to sign a replacement for Oscar, who left the club in January for £52m to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG, and the 24-year-old would be more than capable of filling the void of the Brazilian play-maker.

According to Spanish media outlet Diario Gol the West London side are prepared to offer a huge £160,000-a-week offer for Isco this summer, which is well enough to cover his £8.5m-a-year salary demands.

Of course, Chelsea wouldn’t be able to orchestrate a deal without any competition, as Barcelona and Premier League rivals Manchester City are also reportedly interested on the player.
