Chelsea rocked by fresh injury while two other players return for Spurs clash

Chelsea have received a huge injury boost ahead of the FA Cup semi-final match against Tottenham on Saturday, as both Thibaut Courtois and Marcos Alonso are in line to return for the clash, but have also been hit by a surprising injury update as Gary Cahill seems to miss the game due to illness.

According to Telegraph, skipper Cahill has spent the last two night at the hospital getting treatment for a mystery illness and is a major doubt for the Spurs clash.

Better news are that Thibaut Courtois, who hurt his ankle in a basketball commercial shoot a week ago keeping him out of the vital Premier League clash against Manchester United last Sunday, is reportedly set to return to training on Friday and will be available for the Spurs clash.

Marcos Alonso, who was forced to be dropped away from the starting eleven against United due to illness, is also back in training and should be fully fit for Saturday’s game.

Marcos Alonso was forced off in pre-match training due to illness against Manchester United.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa and Victor Moses have also been hit by a flu, just like Cahill now, but it’s believed that they’re ready to keep playing despite the issue.

Meanwhile Tottenham will be without their key full-back Danny Rose, as Mauricio Pochettino confirmed on Thursday.
