Victor Moses signs contract extension with Chelsea

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses has become the eleventh highest earner in the Blues side after he today signed a new two-year extension to his current contract with the club to keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2021.

The Nigerian international has been revolutionary in Antonio Conte’s team this term, and many believe he is a perfect fit for the successful 3-4-3 formation the Italian tactician implemented to the team in October, never looking back since.

Moses expressed his joy on the club’s official website telling how happy and excited he is to have signed the new contract that earns him £75,000-a-week, as his perseverance and patience finally pay off.

I feel very excited. I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal. Now it’s time to concentrate on the team and keep working hard to make sure we win games and try to win the Premier League this season.

We’re having a great season, I’m enjoying my football and we have a good manager here that has given every single one of us confidence. I just want to keep on enjoying it and working hard for the team.

Moses spent his last three seasons away from Chelsea on dissatisfying loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham, but has now become a regular starter in the club he loves the most.

Chelsea signed the 26-year-old from Wigan Atheltic for £9m in 2012, and made 23 appearances on his first season for the side. However, when Jose Mourinho made a return to Chelsea the season after, Moses was seen as a surplus to requirements and Antonio Conte turned out to become his saviour of the ongoing loan spells.
