Chelsea defeated Stoke City 2-1 to go 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
It was Willian who opened the scoring for the Blues early in the first-half. His free-kick from an acute angle caught out Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant and found it’s way into the bottom corner.

Gary Cahill then shoved Jon Walters to the ground and the referee pointed to the spot. It was Walters who stepped up to take the penalty, and he made no mistake, thumping home into the top corner of Thibaut Courtois’ net.
It appeared as though Chelsea were going to be held to a frustrating draw, but Cahill redeemed himself late-on to secure all three points. The skipper latched onto the loose ball in the penalty area and finished emphatically.
