Chelsea star missed Stoke clash due to ‘little’ muscle problem

Antonio Conte has revealed that Eden Hazard missed Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Stoke City with a muscle problem, report the Metro.

Hazard took a season off last time around, but has returned in arguably the most scintillating form of his Chelsea career. The Belgian has found the back of the net 11 times in the Premier League this term, and has also provided four assists for his teammates.

His influence was evidently missed as we faced Stoke at the bet365 arena. Hazard didn’t travel with the squad, with us awaiting official confirmation for the reasons behind his absence.

It appears as though we now have our answer. The Metro report that Conte revealed to the written press that Hazard missed out today due to a ‘little’ muscle issue.

It comes at the worst possible for time for Hazard, who was called up to represent Belgium on international duty. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit to play for his country.
