Chelsea star could risk aggravating injury on international duty

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses is currently injured but could still represent Nigeria on international duty, report the Daily Star.

Moses has been a cornerstone in Antonio Conte’s side this campaign since the Italian trialled him at right-wing-back. There were question marks over Moses’ future with Chelsea in the summer, with the Nigerian yet to prove he was good enough for a club of the Blues’ stature – there’s no doubters now.

The Daily Star report that Moses is in fact carrying an injury, and faced a late fitness test in order to be given the green light to face former side Stoke City yesterday afternoon.

The tabloid do not, however, believe that he has informed Nigeria that he will be unavailable to play for them during the international break – which will undoubtedly be a concern for Chelsea.

If Moses is not fully fit, there is a risk of aggravating or even worsening the injury. Fingers crossed Moses makes a speedy recovery.
