Chelsea are plotting a £40million double swoop on AS Monaco for Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy, according to the Mirror.
Both have been instrumental in the French outfit’s success this campaign. Monaco currently lead the way in Ligue 1 having found the back of the net 84 times in just 29 games.
They also knocked Chelsea’s Premier League title rivals Manchester City out of the Champions League. Silva and Mendy’s performances throughout Monaco’s stellar campaign appear to have captured the attention of Antonio Conte.
The Mirror report that Chelsea are on the look out for players who can help them be competitive in the Champions League next campaign. Both have proven during Monaco’s run in the competition that they are able to replicate their best form on the biggest stage.
According to the Mirror, Silva is valued at £28million, while Monaco will demand £12million in exchange for Mendy’s services. Chelsea are believed to be prepared to sign the both of them,
