Thibaut Courtois tells friends he wants Chelsea exit

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has reportedly told his friends he’s ‘desperate’ to leave the Blues side for a move to Real Madrid this summer, Spanish website Don Balon reports.

The source suggests that the main reason behind his preferred transfer is the fact that his family still lives in Madrid, having spent three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid before finally staying at Chelsea.

The 24-year-old is yet to renew his contract at Stamford Bridge, and it’s set to expire in 2019. The club will have to tie him down as soon as possible if they really want to hold on to the world-class keeper.

Real Madrid are also very keen on David De Gea, but the Galanticos would prefer the Belgium international over the Manchester United keeper to replace the current Real number one goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Courtois has had a stellar season for the Blues and it’s unlikely that the rumours of him wanting to move away from the club are even half-true.
