Ramires scores late AFC Champions League winner for Jiangsu

Ex-Chelsea man Ramires scored a vital 90th minute winner for Jangsu Suning last night when the Chinese Super League side won Jeju United with a tight 1-0 victory in the AFC Champions League group stage match.

The South Korean side Jeju looked slightly better in the match, but three points for Jiangsu meant important three points from the first game of the group stage – a game that could’ve gone either way. Japanese club Gamba Osaka also won their first fixture and lead the group with goal difference.

Ramires’ goal can’t be seen as a great one, as it certainly was quite a struggle for the whole team to find the net, but the team came up as the better side in the end.

The goal was Ramires’ first for the team in the first game of the season, and he showed he’s very happy to have scored it. You can see the full match highlights from below.

Elsewhere in the AFC Champions League Oscar played the full 90 minutes in Shanghai SIPG’s 1-0 win over FC Seoul two nights back, where former Zenit St. Petersburg star Hulk scored the winning goal.
