Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso has warned his Blues team-mates ahead of today’s early kick-off at Turf Moor, with the league leaders facing Burnley.
Antonio Conte’s men have a chance to go 12 points clear on top of the league table with a win today, but it won’t come easy against a team that has won nine out of their 13 home games this term.
Alonso believes Chelsea will have to be on their best and respect the opposition, as it’s not going to be an easy walk in the park for the Blues.
“Burnley are a very strong team. When they play at home, they have a very good record and we know it is going to be a very tough game.
We will have to approach the game like the important game it is. It could be a massive three points for us in this moment and we are working hard this week which we need to put into the game on Sunday.”

Alonso scored his fourth goal of the season last weekend, when the Blues cruised into a comfortable 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
