Hazard believes Musonda can play for Chelsea

Thorgan Hazard has backed his old teammate Charly Musonda to play for Chelsea in the near future.

The former Blues, brother of Eden, is now a Borussia Monchengladbach player, and he has flourished since making the decision to make a permanent move away from the Bridge.

Yet in this interview with Goal, the Belgian still insists that the system works well for some players, and that he backs players like his teammate Andreas Christensen and young attacker Musonda to break into the first team.

Hazard and fellow countryman Musonda are friends, and clearly Eden’s sibling thinks highly of his old teammate.

Musonda rejoined Real Betis for this season after impressing in the second half of last term. However the sacking of Gus Poyet meant limited game time for Musonda, and he was recalled to the main Chelsea squad in January. He will be hoping for a start this weekend in the FA Cup against Wolves.
