Frank Lampard sends heartfelt message to all Chelsea fans during Swansea clash

Chelsea comfortably cruised into an important 3-1 victory over Swansea City to both extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 11 points, and to end their three-game winning drought against the Welsh side.

Despite the entertaining exhibition that the match all in all was, one of the highlights of the afternoon was Chelsea legend Frank Lampard’s visit to the Bridge, as he was presented to the crowd during the half-time interval.

Frank Lampard thanking all Chelsea fans for their support for the Blues legend.

‘I love you’ was the main message from the ex-England international, who finally got his chance to properly give his farewell for the club that he served for 13 years, playing a total of 649 appearances with 211 goals to his name – the current club record, as he recently announced his retirement from competitive football in the age of 38.

“We couldn’t have made the memories without you. I love you,” said the well-suited Lampard in the pouring rain while the Blues showed their support for the player with a huge sheet displayed in the middle of the field.
