Chelsea vs Swansea City – Match Preview

During the first half of the season Swansea City were the only team out of top-four that Chelsea lost points against, and the Blues will be very determined to get the full three points from tomorrow’s game at Stamford Bridge.

Ex-Chelsea man Paul Clement has led the relegation favourites to a great run of games, beating the likes of Liverpool and Southampton in the past four games, losing only once against Manchester City. They’re fighting hard to escape the back three and Chelsea will need to be well aware of the danger of the visiting team tomorrow afternoon.

Chelsea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup one week backwards, but drew against Burnley away in their last Premier League fixture. Antonio Conte has to name his best team for tomorrow’s game if they want to take their lead at the top of the table to eleven points.

Match Details

Kick-off at 03.00 UK Time at Stamford Bridge. The game won’t be televised in the UK, but you can follow our live coverage on our exclusive live blog starting 30 minutes before kick-off.

Injury News

Thibaut Courtois is a slight doubt due to illness, and if he won’t pass the fitness test tomorrow it’s likely to be Asmir Begovic between the sticks for Chelsea. Nathan Ake could also step into the starting eleven if David Luiz’s knee concern turns out to be a problem.

Meanwhile Swansea midfielders Nathan Dyer and Ki Sung-yueng are out, with Jefferson Montero also a doubt ahead of the game.

One to Watch

Gylfi Sigurdsson – The Iceland international has been in stunning form recently, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the last four league games. He surprised both Liverpool and Manchester City, which is why he’ll be even more keen to score one against us. He has, actually, also scored in the two previous meetings against Chelsea. Better watch out!

Chelsea: D W D W W (Goals scored: 10, Goals conceded: 3)

Swansea haven’t gone a single game without scoring in the last four games, and if Courtois and Luiz are out, I’m expecting us to concede once while going for a 2-1 victory.
