Chelsea target £25m Victor Moses replacement

Chelsea are targeting a right back as a potential replacement for Victor Moses, according to the Metro.

The Valencia right wing back was apparently a target for us last summer, has also been heavily linked with Barcelona through this season as the Blaugrana look for a long term replacement for Dani Alves.

The 22 year old has attracted plenty of interest in the last couple of years with some exceptional play from the back for Valencia, but he has also suffered this season as the club from the Mediterranean coast have struggled in the league. He has even been dropped to the bench in favour of Martin Montoya in some games, showing that his development is by no means complete.

Having another option at right back is essential, and £25m is not an absurd amount to pay for a player who has a lot of potential. But the board should be warned that just because Barca are chasing him that doesn’t mean he’s the next big thing.
