Chelsea receive big injury boost ahead of FA Cup weekend

Antonio Conte has received a big injury boost from John Terry ahead of Chelsea’s away clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the fifth round of the FA Cup this Saturday, Evening Standard reports.

The Blues skipper injured his knee in the training last week and was ruled out of Chelsea’s matchday squad against Burnley on Sunday’s tight 1-1 draw at the Turf Moor.

He’s however on course to recover in time for this weekend’s visit to Molineux Stadium, and it’s a very big positive for Conte, who’s keen to rest as many of his first-team players over the FA Cup as possible.

Chelsea centre-back David Luiz has also struggled with his knee recently and needs full rest in hope of making a comeback for the next Premier League game against Swansea City in two weeks’ time.

Nathan Ake and Kurt Zouma are likely to make a start as well, since they haven’t had a big share of playing time in the top-flight this season.
