FC Barcelona’s Arda Turan has reportedly hold early talks with Chelsea over a possible summer move to Stamford Bridge, Turkish media outlet FotoMac reports.
The Turkey international recently posed with Chelsea’s Diego Costa on the Blues striker’s Instagram page after the two former Atletico Madrid team-mates spent some time together.
The picture in social media made papers suggest that Barcelona might be targeting Costa ahead of this summer’s transfer window, but according to the Turkish website it’s Chelsea who are keen to sign Arda Turan.
The 30-year-old versatile midfielder hasn’t enjoyed the greatest of times at Nou Camp following his £24m move from Atleti, as he’s only made 34 league appearances since the transfer in 2015.
It’s believed that he’s looking for a new adventure and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea could be exactly that.
The West London side sold attacking midfielder Oscar to China this January and are yet to replace him with anyone, and Turan could thus be a potential replacement for the Brazilian.
