Antonio Conte tells which Chelsea player is just as important as Costa, Hazard

Chelsea cruised into a comfortable 3-1 victory over Swansea City last Saturday, and the Blues boss was very happy with the outcome of the game, extending the Blues’ lead at the top of the Premier League table to 10 points.

Cesc Fabregas opened the scoring on the first half but the Blues had to fight to regain the lead on the second half, after Fernando Llorente’s header on injury time of the first period saw the teams head into the tunnels in even scoreline.

The team celebrating Pedro’s goal to regain Chelsea’s lead against Swansea.

The Blues continued to dominate the possession and Pedro’s left-footed effort from long-range gave Chelsea the needed 2-1 lead, which was later turned into a 3-1 lead by Diego Costa.

Conte spoke to the press after the game praising Pedro and his performance, after the Spaniard scored his third goal in three games yesterday.

“Pedro is showing his quality. We are not finding out now about his quality. He’s a great player in the same way as Willian or Hazard or Costa.

He’s playing very well with and without the ball. I think that now he’s deserving to play, and to score the goal is fantastic for him and, above all, for the team.

I hope he continues in this way with this commitment, but Pedro has always had this quality. Now the formation is exploiting his characteristics still better than before.”
