Antonio Conte desperate to sign young Inter Milan striker

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly desperate to land Inter Milan’s young Italian striker Andrea Pinamonti, according to Calcio Mercato.

The 17-year-old wonder-kid is yet to make a first-team league appearance for the Milanese side, but his rise through the challenging academy system has caught the eye of the Italian tactician, and alerted a pair of other clubs as well.

Liverpool and Juventus are believed to be very keen on the Italy U19 international as well, and once the player turns 18 it will be difficult for the Serie A side to be able to hold on to their promising forward, who’s still at the club on a youth contract.

Despite Pinamonti yet to make an outing in the domestic league, he has already played for the senior side in the Europa League campaign this season.

Signing Pinamonti would be yet another knock for Chelsea’s own academy, where young strikers such as Dominic Solanke and Bertrand Traore would be put to wait for their chance for yet another season to come.
