After a dominating first half, Chelsea faced a strong spell of ascendancy from the visitors, but were able to keep the pack tight and cruise into a solid 2-0 victory past the Hull City ‘Tigers’.
Diego Costa opened the scoring at the dying minutes of the first half on his comeback for his 100th Chelsea appearance, and Gary Cahill rose the highest to nod in Chelsea’s second ten minutes before full-time whistle.
