John Terry linked with surprise move to Bournemouth

Chelsea skipper John Terry is reportedly a target for Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side followin Nathan Ake’s return to Chelsea after his loan spell came to an unexpected, premature end.

Football London brought up the news this afternoon, and it’s clear how Terry’s Chelsea career is nearing closer and closer to the end following his fall in Antonio Conte’s pecking order in the defensive ranks this season.

Terry started the campaign as a regular starter for the Blues side, but following his injuries and Conte’s change to the impenetrable 3-4-3 formation, it has been difficult for the ex-England captain to break back into the starting line-up.

However, it’s quite unlikely that the 36-year-old club legend would be hoping to get his career back underway at Bournemouth, as he’s surely more interested on giving his Blues era a softer landing and receiving a hero’s farewell once his current deal with the West London club comes to an end at the end of the campaign.

John Terry was yesterday convicted to a one-match ban after the appeal on his ‘undeserved’ red card against Peterborough United last week was dismissed by the FA.
