Dimitri Payet’s West Ham drama opens door for Chelsea loan deal

West Ham star Dimitri Payet has today shocked his club by announcing how he’s completely done with the team and doesn’t want to play for The Hammers anymore.

It may be a slightly too strong of a reaction from the French midfielder, who’s clearly doing his everything to get a move away from the Olympic Stadium.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic however has assured that the club won’t be selling Payet, so should the player hold on to his promise, he will be living the upcoming years with a £120,000-a-week salary until 2021, when his current deal finally expires.

Michy Batshuayi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have both been linked with a loan move to West Ham.

The drama between the club and the player could be a breakthrough for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to make a loan move to the London Olympic Stadium with good terms.

West Ham are currently sitting 13th in the league table, and after losing Payet for his silly attitude, Loftus-Cheek could be a response to their needs.

The East London side sent a ‘begging letter’ to Chelsea and the rest of the Londoner clubs in late December looking for a new defender, midfielder and a striker from the top sides’ cast-offs.

West Ham were also targeting Michy Batshuayi, but Loftus-Cheek – who has never been sent on loan by the Blues – seems like a more likely target, and he could really use from a more important role in a Premier League club.
