Chelsea linked with highly coveted £19m forward

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Genk striker Leon Bailey.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Bayer Leverkusen, Roma and Liverpool are also interested in the Jamaican forward.

A host of other clubs have been named as potential suitors, and the Blues will have to move fast to get this one tied up.

Prices for the 19 year old have been quoted at figures around £19m.

Bailey had an outstanding breakthrough year last term in the Belgian Pro League, and his speed and dribbling skills make him a very dangerous player who could benefit hugely from a manager like Antonio Conte, who has shown willing to work with young, hardworking players.

The only question would be whether Bailey would be willing to try his luck at breaking into the first team squad, or might even go on loan for a year to the Championship or lower-Premier League team.
