Antonio Conte confirms that both Zouma, Batshuayi will start on Sunday

The FA Cup returns and Chelsea will be playing their first game of the tournament this Sunday when they host League One side Peterborough at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte has today confirmed on his press conference that both Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma are in his starting line-up plans, which is delightful news for the Blues fans.

Zouma has been taking a long recovery from his ACL tear back in February 2016, and will be finally returning to first-team action after a strong spell with the development squad.

He is ready to start. I’m pleased for him. He deserves this. It’s a good opportunity for him.

His injury was very bad. I knew this, I talked with my club about it in May. For this reason we knew he needed more time.

But now he’s in good shape, he’s ready to play and ready to resume his career.

Batshuayi made his last start in the EFL Cup tie against West Ham in October, which has made Conte postpone his decision to name him in the starting line-up until tomorrow. However, he says it’s very likely.

I have a good opportunity in this game to see Michy from the start. This is important. Diego is playing a lot.

I think it could be a good opportunity for Michy to show me his progress.

The match will kick off at 3pm UK Time, and you can follow the game on our exclusive live blog, since the fixture won’t be televised.
