Andreas Christensen’s father has confirmed in the Danish media that his son will be returning to Chelsea this summer, ready to impress Antonio Conte.
The Danish centre back’s two year loan to Borussia Monchengladbach has been a great success: he has played consistently and impressed everyone who has watched him; but also a frustration: the Blues have been unable to recall him and Borussia have not been able to persuade us to sell.
Overall, the news is good however, with a much improved Christensen returning to the club this summer looking more than ready to play a part in the first team squad next season.
Final confirmation came from Danish paper BT, quoted by Sport Witness, which had words from the defender’s father:
“As it is right now, he’s at Chelsea again this summer.”
He went on to stress that his son would not return to Stamford Bridge just to warm the bench, and that he would expect to play
