Chelsea are keen on signing Manchester United prodigy Anthony Martial, according to The Sun.
The Sun report that Antonio Conte is interested in making a move for Martial to strengthen the Blues’ attack, but he will face stern competition from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The tabloid report that Los Blancos are favourites for the Frenchman’s signature as they may offer want-away midfielder James Rodriguez as a makeweight in any potential deal.
Martial scored 17 goals in 49 appearances last term and finished the campaign as United’s top goal-scorer in all competitions. Jose Mourinho, though, has used the 20-year-old sporadically.
Though highly unlikely that Mourinho would be at all keen to sell to us at any price, the prospect of having Martial lining up in our attack is an exciting one. If Antonio Conte were able to find a place in our forward line for Martial, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard – Premier League defences would not stand a chance.
