His side were crushed 4-0 by a dominant Chelsea, with the Spaniard totally unable to get on the ball even as Chelsea sat deeper in parts of the game.
Still, as per usual the playmaker got a fantastic reception from the crowd, who applauded him warmly every time he went to take a corner. The higher the score got, the more generous the Matthew Harding end were able to be with their praise.
It wasn’t just the fans who gave the former fan favourite a warm welcome, with midfielder Oscar posting this sweet photo of a warm embrace with the Spaniard on his Instagram.
