Polish shot-stopper to sign for Chelsea

Chelsea’s scholarship intake has been bolstered by the addition of 16-year-old Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, his club FCB Escola Varsovia has announced.

The Blues thwarted FC Barcelona in their pursuit for the youngster, who will either go out on loan or join Jody Morris’ academy team ahead of the new campaign.

Bulka has been part of Escola Varsovia’s youth academy for five years—who model their programme on Barcelona—and is one for the future at Chelsea.

It is understood that Chelsea were impressed by Bulka after trials in April and former Blues shot-stopper Henrique Hilario urged the London club to sign the 16-year-old. Obviously, manager Antonio Conte and scouts also echoed that sentiment.

Bulka is Antono Conte’s third addition of the window, after he acquired N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi earlier this summer. Bulka is a giant for his age, standing at 6’5″.
