Ajax approach Bertrand Traoré as replacement for Arkadiusz Milik

Dutch media outlet Telesport have today reported that Ajax are planning a swoop for Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traoré as Arkadiusz Milik’s replacement, as the Polish striker left for Napoli.

Ajax have a list of candidates for Milik’s successor, but the Burkina Faso striker tops the list by miles, as the Eredivisie side are looking to either sign him or offer a two-year loan.

A move to Ajax could be very useful for Traoré, as he would be guaranteed first-team football at the Amsterdam Arena.

The 20-year-old is still waiting for answers from the new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, as he wants to be promised more playing time than last season.

Traoré made 16 appearances for Chelsea’s first-team last season, scoring four times in the league.

He rarely played the full 90 minutes of the games he took part in, and could only be a fringe player in Conte’s plans next season, as well.
