It has been officially confirmed that Lewis Baker will spend a 2nd year on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie after a successful stint at the club last time out.
Many Chelsea fans were hoping he would be given his chance next season after winning the golden boot award at the Toulon Tournament where he and Loftus-Cheek created the perfect partnership which saw England under-21’s win the whole competition.
During the 21-year-old’s time in Arnhem next season, he bagged himself 5 goals, 4 assists and their goal of the season with a sublime effort against De Graafschap in a 2-2 draw.
This news has come as a surprise to some as Baker is evidently ready for the Premier League and needs to make the step up as soon as possible if he wants to make a mark at Chelsea.

I have a good connection with the fans here.
The fans voted my goal vs De Graafschap as Goal of the Season and that made me proud. I learned a lot from Bosz & Maas last season.
I played a great Toulon Tournament and want to continue at that level at Vitesse next season. I want to be successful here.’
