Conte confident on double swoop

With a new manager coming to Chelsea, it was always going to be apparent that many players would be linked to the club. Former compatriots and out of nowhere targets are linked to the club but on this occasion, Leonardo Bonucci could be close to completing a deal to Stamford Bridge this summer according to The Sun.

Leonardo Bonucci has previously worked with Conte at Juventus and currently with the Italian national team which has created a good relationship between the two.

Chelsea’s biggest problem last season was their defensive displays over the course of the season which didn’t look to be getting any better, so with the addition of Bonucci could mean that the Blues are looking to sure of their defence for next season.

The Sun have reported that Chelsea will offer Bonucci £130k a week to prize the world class defender away from Turin and play under his current national team manager next season onwards.

It’s also reported that Antonio Conte is also confident on bringing Lazio’s Antonio Candreva with him this summer, believing that one of his preferred players in the national team would be willing to come to England to continue working under his tenure.

Please take this rumour with a pinch of salt as the source is not the most reliable out there.
