Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon nears exit

Christophe Lollichon’s 9-year tenure at Chelsea football club could be coming to an end this summer as the club attempt to do everything in their power to appease Thibaut Courtois and convince him to stay for the long term.

The Telegraph have reported that Chelsea have already made contact with Gianluca Spinelli – who works with Conte with Italian national team – to replace Lollichon.

Spinelli is currently at Euro 2016 with Italy but it is understood that Chelsea have held talks with him to follow Conte to London when the tournament has concluded.

There have been previous reports that Courtois has fallen out with Lollichon which created speculation about the Belgian wanting a move to Real Madrid this summer after the Galacticos missed out on David De Gea last summer.

Lollichon has been at the club since 2007 and is one of the longest-serving members at the club and has earned the reputation as one of most original goalkeeper coaches in the world, which has led to Abramovich and the board rating him so highly.

Having lost Petr Cech to Arsenal last summer, Chelsea will want to keep Thibaut Courtois for a long time to come which may conclude Christophe Lollichon’s departure.
