Bundesliga side plotting record transfer for Andreas Christensen

According to the Mirror, Borussia Monchengladbach are ready to pay a club record transfer fee of €15m to sign the Chelsea youngster this summer.

The Denmark international played last season on loan with the German outfit and won the club’s player of the season award, being granted a new loan spell at Borussia Park for next season.

However, Borussia Monchengladbach are now ready to make Christesen’s deal permanent to ensure he’s not returning to Stamford Bridge, and the club’s director of football Max Eberl has admitted to be aware of the possibly high transfer fee.

In the case of Christensen we are ready to make a record transfer. We know that a player with his quality does not come cheap.

Chelsea were already planning to bring back the 20-year-old for the upcoming campaign under new manager Antonio Conte, but the player himself has been very unsure whether he’d be keen to finally make a senior debut for the West London side.
