Mourinho plotting £85m double swoop for two Chelsea stars

José Mourinho, who is set to take over at Manchester United later this week, is considering to raid his former team by signing two Chelsea stars this summer, claim the reports in England.

According to The Sun, the former Chelsea boss is preparing a stunning £60 million bid for Willian, who reportedly has a strong bond with the Portuguese coach.

Mourinho signed the Blues’ Player of the Season from Anzhi Makhachkala three years ago for £30m, and knows he has to double the offer to lure the player to Old Trafford with him.

Willian on the other hand has shown huge praise for the manager, and says he has spent some of his career highlights while playing under his management.

Jose is one of the most successful coaches in the world and Manchester United will be stronger with him as manager.

I played some of my best football under Mourinho. He is a special coach and I have a great relationship with him.

Winning the Premier League with him was one of the highlights of my career. I was sad things didn’t work out after that.

When asked whether he would be considering to link up with him in the future, the Brazil international said he isn’t looking for a move away from the club at the moment.

I don’t think about that. I’m here on Copa America duty with Brazil and I’m not here to do interviews about other things.

Mourinho’s interest on his old folk doesn’t end there though, as the incoming Louis Van Gaal’s successor is also keen to bring back Nemanja Matic, whose situation in the club seems unclear for most, according to Metro.

Although the big Serbian had struggled throughout last season, his contribution on the team’s title winning campaign was vital, and he could be back at his best once he reunites with his former manager.

The 27-year-old could be exactly what the Red Devils need to improve for next season, and it’s all about Chelsea if they’re agreeing to sell the player to a rival club.

The West London club reportedly want at least £25m for the player, and avoid selling him to a rival club as he’s also being monitored by Serie A champions Juventus.
