Chelsea linked with surprise move for Swansea star

Chelsea are reportedly the latest club to join the race to sign Swansea forward Andre Ayew this summer, South Wales Evening Post reports.

The Ghana international was the Welsh side’s top scorer last season scoring 12 goals to his name, but is uncertain whether he’s staying at Liberty stadium with several Premier League club’s showing interest.

The player though confirmed he’s keen on staying inside the British islands, and isn’t planning to leave the club this summer.

I feel good at Swansea. I count on staying in England.

It is a tough league, but it is the best.

Ayew though admitted to be keen on making a step forward on his career and play in the Europe’s elite competition one day, but says to be patient with his decisions.

Do I dream about going to a bigger club? At one moment or another, every player dreams about that, like I had at Marseille, when we played in the Champions League. So yes, at one moment or another, I will go after that.

There are clubs that are interested.

Sunderland and West Ham are widely linked with the 26-year-old, with Chelsea also monitoring the player ahead of a busy summer transfer window.
