Chelsea agree huge £60m-a-year kit sponsorship deal with Nike

Chelsea have agreed a stunning £60m-a-year kit sponsorship deal with Nike to help the team on the transfer market and getting back to the Europe’s elite competition, the Telegraph reports.

According to reports the deal is double the worth of Chelsea’s current £30m-a-year kit deal with Adidas, which the Blues reported to end at the end of next season.

Chelsea’s decision to end the kit sponsorship deal with Adidas cost the club a staggering £40m, but with the new Nike deal coming in it makes the worth of the wait to get back on track.

The new deal between Chelsea and Nike is the second most lucrative kit sponsorship after Manchester United’s £75m-a-year deal with Adidas – at least until Real Madrid look to negotiate a new deal with either Adidas or Nike.

The deal is also the double of what Arsenal get from Puma, and more than three times of what Manchester City earn from Nike.
