John Terry set to return against Tottenham

According to Squawka, Chelsea skipper John Terry is set to make his return to the line-up against Tottenham on Monday’s crucial title-chase at Stamford Bridge.

Spurs are determined to leave the great London derby with full three points, but will face a strengthened Chelsea defence as the captain looks to make his comeback before next week’s game.

The 35-year-old has worked hard to recover from his Achilles injury, as he even went through a treatment banned by the World Anti-doping Agency which utilises platelets from the athletes’ own blood, which is then injected into the damaged tissue to ease pain and jumpstart the healing process.

Although the defender’s pace has been critically damaged during the past year, his performances on the second half of the season have really showed why many think he deserves a contract extension, as his current spell looks to end this summer.

Despite Chelsea’s poor efforts of retaining the title the Blues still stand a chance on destroying Mauricio Pochettino’s title hopes, should Leicester not have already clinched the trophy to themselves before the game.
