Eden Hazard hits back at Chelsea fans, braced to return on form

Chelsea star Eden Hazard acknowledges his struggles but believes the fans have been very quick to forget what he has achieved for the club, Mirror reports.

The 25-year-old has been widely criticized by his efforts during the season, but has promised to bounce back in style.

The last year’s Player of the Year winner ended his 29-game goal drought last weekend by scoring two goals in Chelsea’s 4-1 away win at Bournemouth.

Hazard has been booed in several games towards the end of the season, and despite admitting how they’re entitled to do that, the player reminds the booing fans not to forget what he has achieved for the West London side.

I thought the fans were booing because they didn’t want me to be replaced. Supporters pay for their tickets and they want to be entertained. If they are not happy they are entitled to boo. But people mustn’t forget what I have done for Chelsea.

We are having a tougher time than normal but we will get over it. I never doubt my abilities. A lot of nonsense gets talked about my future but I have four years left on my contract.

The Belgium international – who has been consistently linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain – said it’s hard to retain high standard performances throughout the season but claims the team is determined to return to form from this season’s disappointments.

I’ve long told myself that one day I would have a season like the one I’m going through. Chelsea have not had a good season and neither have I. We are working hard to improve.
